Warbirds & Wheels at Wanaka Airport is currently recruiting for various roles for our tourism, café and retail operation for summer. A mix of casual and fixed term positions available starting in Sep and Nov/Dec.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right people, however this role is not for the faint hearted. We operate in a fast paced environment and you must be able to cope with pressure during the busy times.

Barista /FOH: Experienced barista wanted for start around 10 September. This is fixed term until mid April 2016. This is around 40 hours a week, so could suit 1 person full-time OR two people on a rostered basis. Must be able to start at 7.30/8am until 5pm and work weekends.

Barista/FOH: Experienced baristas/FOH wanted for start Nov/Dec in time for the busy summer season. Ideally these roles will be filled by experienced baristas (as back-up barista) but customer service and experience in serving customers is essential. You will be the first point of contact for our customers so a love of people is a must. Job description same as above. Casual, part-time and full time roles available on fixed term basis until mid April.
FOH/Retail: Ideally this person will have both hospitality and retail experience and in a perfect world would have good admin skills in office products. A working knowledge of VEND, Xero or other online systems would be a huge advantage.
This is a varied role with a focus on customer service, serving and talking to customers visiting our world-class museum. Aiding customers with purchasing decisions, giving them information on the airport, local area and our diner is key. Someone with a keen eye for retail detail and maximising retail displays to generate revenue is a key requisite. This role also ‘steps in’ to help in the diner when busy, so experience clearing tables etc is preferable. Various roles and shifts will be available M-S, 9-9pm. This is fixed term until mid-April 2016.
